||My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
||Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as
those that go down into the pit:
||We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our
houses with spoil:
||Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
||Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the
way of evil men.
||Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
||Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of
||He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a
companion of fools shall be destroyed.
||Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to
err from the words of knowledge.
||Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
||Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to
be with them.
||Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne
shall be established in righteousness.
||Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he
heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.
