Courage is not giving up - even when you are afraid.

At times we all feel afraid.  But the Bible instructs "fear not."  (Deuteronomy 3:22) This doesn't mean that during certain trials we wont fee afraid; rather, it means we must decide to press on even in the face of fear.

Many times, the Israelites were instructed to "be strong and courageous."  In the book of Deuteronomy 31:6 Moses commanded Israel: "Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."  Today in modern times we too must heed Moses's admonition and trust God to fight our battles.

So, when we're faced with fear, remember to "be strong and courageous" for even if our own strength is small, God's is not and He Keeps His promises to us (Titus 1:2) "God, who cannot lie."

Courage is not giving up - even when you are afraid.
